Richard Lublin, Major Sponsor of the International Film Festival in Naples Florida, Presents Awards

Guest performances by Steve Martin and Martin Short

Naples, Florida resident, Richard Lublin, recently presided over the festivities and handed out awards during the closing night presentation at the 2018 International Film Festival in Naples, Florida. The successful, sold out event included many Connecticut attendees who reside in Florida during the winter. Film categories included: Narratives, Documentaries, Shorts and a special showcase for Student filmmakers. Film showing selections were followed by group discussions. Steve Martin and Martin Short performed during the closing ceremony, which made the evening a night to remember.

Richard Lublin, reinvented himself in the second act of his career, as a television and film actor. Formerly, he spent 30 years as founding partner in a prominent CT law firm, then the curtain went up on his new career in show business in 1995. He’s had acting roles ever since in popular television shows such as: Frasier, Law & Order, Married With Children, Chicago Hope, Rescue Me, The Practice and Ally McBeal.

Notably, he appeared in the critically acclaimed film Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead, directed by Sidney Lumet, and had dialogue scenes with Albert Finney, Ethan Hawke and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. This past year he had a role in The Land of Steady Habits, with Ben Mendelsohn and Edie Falco. The film is currently available on Netflix.
