Attorney. Managing partner. Lead counsel.
Richard Lublin’s legal career has taken him from Cornell to the courtroom on some very high-profile cases.

After graduating from Cornell Law School in 1964, Richard Lublin began a distinguished career as a lawyer in general practice, specializing in all types of litigation in state and federal courts. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1964 and the Connecticut Bar in 1965, and admitted to practice before the U.S District Court, District of Connecticut 1969; U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida 1975; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit 1975.

Richard Lublin was a founding partner of a prestigious law firm in Connecticut. At its height, the firm had 22 practicing attorneys and offices in East Hartford and Avon, CT.

During his career as a lawyer, Richard Lublin was involved in some of Connecticut’s highest profile cases. One of them was State of Connecticut vs. the Dartmouth Plan (and the thirteen New York banks the Plan represented). The trial was noteworthy for the lead counsel on both sides: Richard Lublin representing The Dartmouth Plan and the 13 Banks, and Joe Lieberman, then Connecticut’s Attorney General representing the State of Connecticut. Richard was also involved in one of the most notorious cases of the early 1990s, the involuntary bankruptcy action against Colonial Realty. In the Colonial case, Richard was a lawyer on the legal team that represented the interests of the financial institutions.
